NEW YORK NEW YORK – Distracted with working on year-end taxes and so on, so we’re stuck with an interior featuring a Venini vase in the window (I collect Venini) and our relatively recently-acquqired Tibetan altarpiece.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Still shooting with the tiny 28mm Summaorn lens, a Leica re-issue of a lens introduced in 1955. It really has rekindled my interest in this focal length, which I’ve been neglecting for a while. Good light in Manhattan (which is covered by dirty snow drifts – the residue of the blizzard) and an image of an image.

ARLES FRANCE – We spent the day walking around here. We had an introduction to a young artist who is in the process of exporting the future of the book. One of the bodies of work that he is dealing with is Thomas Pynchon. This by itself is enough to make me a skeptic.
