NEW YORK NEW YORK – We lent our apartment to our daughter, Francesca, for a party in honor of two of her friends who have achieved major life transitions. Of course Basil the Norwich Terrier was in attendance so here Francesca an he are, in blatant violation of my “no pictures of dogs” rule.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Well, today is my birthday. I don’t like making a big deal of these anniversaries so we had a small family dinner out at Maialino, Danny Meyer’s displaced Roman Tratoria on Gramercy Park. I caught more tulips (i’ll soon get over this) in the rain, and then Alexander and Baby V at dinner. It was dark at Maialino so I brought my f.95 Noctilux and of course my Leica Monochrom.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Tonight we went to a wedding shower for some old friends. I shot mostly with my Leica Monochrom and 35mm Summichron lens – one of no fewer than 6 that I have in this focal length. Typical obsessive behavior by a Leica shooter.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – It’s Easter and we have a house full of people here. I’m slight grumpy because I’m the cook and folks seem more interested in chatting than helping in the kitchen. Here’s an update on Baby V, our granddaughter.
