WARREN CONNECTICUT – I drove up here to face the aftermath of a serious windstorm. There was a major tree down blocking access on our road, which meant a half mile hike to the house. No big deal.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – Still running on empty creatively. I need to do something to kickstart myself.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – Back to shooting with my Leica Monochrom and brilliant 24mm Summilux lens. I’m running side-by-side tests of this camera and my Sony A7riii, focusing on usability and actual results in practice, as opposed to brick walls. This is in our garden in Connecticut – it was a barren, thawing wasteland a month ago.

MANHATTAN – Here we are at home with this super wide 12-24mm Sony lens, shooting at 12mm. Controlling these very wide lenses is actually a bear: the slighted tilt or non orthogonal positioning results in incurably weird distortion. You will see below that the lens a perfectly rectilinear, probably as a result of profile corrections automatically applied in Lightroom.

Day 3131 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life. A repeating number.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – The first image below is kind of meh – I’m clearly experiencing winter fatigue. The second image is negative files.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – There has been a long hiatus since my last post. The hard drives with my photo work were stored in boxes for a period when our New York apartment was being painted. Then my website was down for a week for reasons that I’ve finally sorted out with my hosting service. So I’m a month behind in posting, but I have actually kept up on taking at least one image every day, so I’ll be sprinting to catch up on postings. Today’s image reflects the grim fact that spring arrives late in Litchfield County, Connecticut.

It’s still winter in Litchfield county
