PARIS – Our last morning here before embarking on a dreaded travel day. I shot around the apartment that we’re staying in – it’s a converted crystal factor near the Canal St. Martin, with huge windows and sensational light. Here you go:
Day 2302 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
WARREN CONNECTICUT – Another blah day but less so. I’ve done similar images around this time of year in the past because of the angle that sunlight makes in this room.
Day 2290 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
NEW YORK NEW YORK – Not a super good day of photography. I’m bored with the dull light, and the Sony 7rii that I’m shooting old lenses with just doesn’t resonate with me. It’s not that it’s not an excellent camera, it’s just that the way one sees with it does’n fit my style.
I stayed indoors and struggled a bit. At least with the Sony it’s easy to add an extension tube to do close-ups.
Day 2282 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
ANTIGUA – We left our apartment at a bizarrely early hour today to get on a direct flight to this island paradise, where we are spending a week of R and R, unwinding from some occupational and personal stress in the last three or four months. Not bad. There’s a new air terminal here; it was 17 minutes from being on the tarmac to in a cab on our way to our accommodations. Try that in New York!
I’m traveling light, with only my wonderful Leica Q, which has a very high quality fixed 28mm lens. Of course I’ll be converting to black and white.
I struggle as a photographer in the tropics. Another shot of a palm tree, anyone? How about some nice frothy surf? Anyway, today’s image is a rocking chair.
Dy 2249 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
NEDW YORK NEW YORK – Another one of those days when I just barely made it from a photo-a-day standpoint. Today it was the run up to Thanksgiving that got in the way. I took some photos walking to and from shopping but most were poor, so I settled on in image in our kitchen captured with my Leica Monochrom and 135mm lens.
