NEW YORK, NEW YORK – Another tough day for choices. Â I went out at sunrise to photograph the Congregational Church in Warren, Connecticut, to pretty good effect. Â We drove back to New York and ended up at cocktails celebrating Jonathan Galassi’s birthday. Â I cute child at the party edged out the church. Â I’ll go back to Warren on another day, perhaps in the snow, which will be here soon.

PORTLAND, OREGON – Portland has a remarkable food culture. Â There are elaborate “food carts” in various parts of town – generally in clusters. Â They aren’t actually “carts”. They are really trailers, sometimes elaborate ones, rather than the hand carts that the name suggests.
