NEW YORK NEW YORK – I had a day of rushing from here to there but managed a couple of images with my iPhone, which has the advantage of being always available and discrete, and an excellent close-up camera.
Day 2318 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
NEW YORK NEW YORK – A truly God awful day weather-wise. One could get out in the rain and take amazing images of reflections from puddles. All of my camera gear is weather resistant. But on the other had its dry inside and I have plenty to do editing photos. My image for the day was caught in a dash out for a sandwich for lunch.

On this day six years ago (day 124): The Ur-Shakeshack. An iconic image.
PARIS – Another day here, this time along the Canal St. Martin, which conveniently or inconveniently, depending on your point of view, has been drained for cleaning and repairs. All images shot with my little Leica Q.
Day 2301 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
PARIS – I’m traveling this week with one camera (actually two if you count my iPhone): a Leica Q, a fixed lens, full frame Leica with what is currently Leica’s best 28mm lens. I just decided to keep it light this time.
Day 2295 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
NEW YORK NEW YORK – On my way to Boston this morning for meetings. Still shooting with my Sony 7Rii and ancient Carl Zeiss Jena lenses – today a 21mm f4.5 Biogen from 1956. I bought this lens on eBay from a seller who listed it as a rare pre-war lens. Very rare indeed since the 21mm was not introduced until 1954. It’s a genuinely fine lens and a useful focal length for me. I often crop to square with wides. If you shoot level (to avoid radically converging verticals) you often end up with a vast expanse of boring foreground. The problem is solved by cropping the foreground out – a square aspect ratio works about right for a 21mm.
My largest online presence is on Twitter, where I have 92,000 followers.
Here’s a link to my Twitter feed: Woody’s Twitter feed. Twitter is actually down this morning so I’m pretty irritated.
