NEW YORK NEW YORK – Abroad with my Leica on the Upper East Side. The second image is of a building that we lived in for six months while our apartment was being renovated. Shot with film in my Leica M7.

On this day eight years ago (day 2): For rent Eight years ago was just post financial crisis so there ware a lot of for rent signs on store fronts. We’re seeing for rent signs again, this time because bricks and mortar retailers are being driven out of business by online stores.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I found myself in the East Village this afternoon with my Leica Monochrm and 50mm APO Summicron lens in hand. Not a bad day.

Day 2,909 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.

On this day seven years ago (day 352): Congregational Meeting House, New Milford CT. Shot with my Hasselblad medium format digital camera, one of the many, many cameras that I’ve owned.

Twenty years ago I shot a lot of parties, From 1997 the caption here would be “Party on, dude.”

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I shot around New York Hospital today, enjoying very good early fall light with my Leica Monochrom Camera and my Leica 35mm Summilux lens.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – A really good day walking around the upper east side with my Leica Monochrom and 50mm Summicron v.4 lens.

Day 2,898 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.

On this day six years ago (day 707): Shanghai World Financial Center. This was shot with a little Panasonic pocket camera, proving that being there is more important than equipment choice.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Continuing with Sony A7Rii week. I went out today with the Sony 70-200mm f2.8 zoom on the camera. What a load. For street use you look like you’re equipped to cover the Superbowl. a very big lens but marvelous. It’s actually an improvement over the Canon lens of similar description, which I’ve owned, and referred to as the “miraculous drain pipe”. A very high quality lens but hardly practical as a walk around.
