DENVER COLORADO – A travel day. As you have heard from me in the past, days in the air transportation system are a misery for me – total losses. I just don’t resonate with airports.

OVER THE NORTH ATLANTIC – Here we are flying home from our flash trip to Brittany. And the alley behind our building once we got home. And finally East 86th Street, which has an almost tenderloiny vice.

On this day five years ago (day 745): Blizzard – an amazingly heavy blizzard at the end of October. This really contrasts with the lovely, warm late fall that we are having this year.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I made it down to the World Trade Center today, where the light, like the air, was very hot. I had trouble sorting down to a single image so you’re stuck with a mini gallery. All shot with my Leica Monochrom and a variety of lenses, mostly an 18mm Super-Elmar and 75mm Summichron.

LONG ISLAND SOUND – We drove from Warren to West Hampton today via the Bridgeport-Port Jefferson car ferry – a nice break in our summer routine.

ON THE ACELA SOMEWHERE IN CONNECTICUT – Coming back from Boston. I went to Boston today to meet with Jonathan Singer at Singer Editions who is working on a set of prints for a show that we’re putting together. Usually Boston provides ample material for my photo a day project, but today for some reason I constantly missed images, always a half beat late. So nothing worthwhile came out of thirty or so tries. I knew it wasn’t good so I tried a few images out the train window, which were the keepers of the day.
