MANHATTAN – I spent the day shooting with my Carl Zeiss Batis 85mm f1.8 lens, basically to decide whether to keep it. I also own the Sony 90mm f2.8 macro, which I tend to use much more that the Zeiss, despite its greater weight and the fact that it’s a stop and a third slower. I think the 90mm Sony wins this, for reasons that I can’t really put my finger on.

MANHATTAN – This was a busy day of preparation for meetings and social commitments. At 10:00 at night still no picture for the day so I shot out the window of a cab up under the Helmsley Building.

MILAN – Just getting my footing here. I’m traveling with my Sony A7riii and a small assortment of prime lenses. This is three frames stitched, illustrating the Viennese style the typifies much of this city’s old buildings.

MANHATTAN – This was a “the dog ate my homework” day. I loaded up my usual gear (the Sony converted to black and white and a couple of lenses) and headed cross town to Riverside Park. On arrival I found a big problem – I had left the SD card in the computer and had neglected to take a test image in before I left. It’s a hike to Riverside Park so I proceeded with my iPhone.
