NEW YORK, NEW YORK – I dropped by the Matthew Marks Gallery to catch up with a show on landscape called La Carte d’aprês Nature. It caught my attention because it included a dozen or so images by Luigi Ghirri, who we collect. Interesting show. I was there with my Leica M9 and 28mm Summicron lens.

On this day one year ago: New Milford Connecticut. I said that this is a crap town a year ago and I’m sticking with my story.
NEW YORK, NEW YORK – Maria’s in Paris and our children are off in their separate directions and I didn’t have any dinner plans, so I had a lonely guy moment. I ordered a pizza and opened a Stella. Here’s the pizza in its various stages, captured with my Panasonic GH2, 29mm pancake lens and a stepladder.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – It was rainy and foggy today. The fog provides an opportunity to isolate elements of the landscape that might otherwise be lost in clutter. Here are three trees at the top of Tanner Hill Road in Warren. Taken with my Alpa TC and 72mm Schneider XL. Three frames stitched. I was unfortunately in flip flops (I was just on my way to buy a paper when I saw this) and there was poison ivy underfoot.

WARREN AND KENT BULLS BRIDGE CONNECTICUT – Terry Tanner’s barn, taken with my ALpa TC, 72mm Schneider XL lens and Phase One IQ 180 back. Two frames stitched. The resulting pixel dimensions are 16,300 x 8000, for an astounding 130 megs of total resolution. Actual file size is 1.5 gigabytes, near the 2.0 gig limit for tiff files. Needless to say it produces a lovely very large print.

HUTCHINSON RIVER PARKWAY – I drove up to Connecticut early today to visit the land use official in the Warren Connecticut Town Hall over some issues involving our land. On the way a stopped to fuel up. Captured with my Alpa TC and 35mm Schneider XL.
