NEW YORK NEW YORK – This is an embarrassment. Too many images. I put the lovely little Leica 35mm Summicron (current version) on my camera today and went out to upper Fifth Avenue in excellent late afternoon light. It was one of those days where everywhere I pointed my camera there was something of interest (at least to me). I ended up with a bunch of full frontal images of buildings, generally made up of multiple images stitched, and some park images. You might ask why I didn’t edit the images down a bit. Well I actually have. thanks for your patience in working through this maze of stuff.

Day 1,912 of one picture every day for the rest of my life.

On this day two years ago (day 1,182): Sunnylands. A pilgrimage to this mid-century icon in Palm Desert.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I got out to Central Park at dusk on this foreboding, overcast day. Interesting. It turns out that dusk to early evening is actually good light – a fine insight for days that offer otherwise hopelessly dull light.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I did some shopping and organization for our trip to Spain today, but found a few hours in the afternoon to explore Central Park. Nothing terrific here.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – My firm had a lovely outing this evening at the Central Park Zoo for summer associates. The idea was to bring families to try to prove to them that we are human beings. Harsh light made photography hard until a found myself in the chiaroscuro depths of the Penguin House. Taken with my Leica Monochrom.

On this day last year (day 1,343): Metropolitan Club. I’ve re-edited the group of pictures that I took on this day last year. I like this one much more than the one that I posted a year ago.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I have found myself stuck at home preparing for meetings and generally feeling dissatisfied with my lot. I shot a few images around the house – our apartment is full of tulips that we brought back from Connecticut yesterday. As usual, taken in black and white.

On this day three years ago (day 575): Conservatory Garden. I went back through the pictures for this day and found that I like the following one more than the picture that I posted.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I walked through the Park in lovely light today for my annual eye doctor check up. All is well. I was functionally blind walking back through the park because my eyes had been dilated, but managed to get a few images with my Leica Monochrom.
