WARREN CONNECTICUT – We’re expanding a bedroom wing of our house here, anticipating future growth in our family. This is early stages. The framing is mostly complete but their are months of work ahead of us.
Day 2437 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this day five years ago (day611): 9 Main.
WARREN CONNECTICUT – Another day with the Noctilux. I’m shooting a bit wider with it today, taking multiple images and sticking. The lens has a lot of vignetting at f.95. This isn’t a flaw – it results from the laws of physics applied to very fast lenses. Before stitching I correct for the vignetting and then add it back after stitching.
Day 2417 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this day five years ago (day 591): Field photographed with a digital Hasselblad. It was made from nine separate images that were focus stacked. I subsequently gave up medium format in favor of my Leica Monochrom because the Monochrom makes black and white images at least as good as medium format (although I haven’t compared it to the current crop of 100 meg cameras), and I prefer the Leica’s rangefinder viewing and its form factor. The original was in color and drab (wildflowers are a bit subtle sometimes); the conversion to black and white below is more successful.
WARREN CONNECTICUT – I shot around the house today documenting construction with my Leica Monochrom and f.95 Noctilux lens shooting wide open with a neutral density filter.
Day 2411 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this day two years ago (day 1681): Holland Tunnel
WARREN CONNECTICUT – Construction of our new bedroom wing to accommodate family expansion. I’ll be shooting this for longer than I care to estimate.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – We’re expecting future expansion of our family so we’re adding a two bedrooms and baths, and generally updating our house here – most of the infrastructure is 25 years old. You’ll be seeing construction images over the next year or so.
Day 2402 of the photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this day six years ago (day 211): Citicorp. My original edit from May 13, 2010 was a layered image of the Seagrams Building, but on further reflection an image of the Citicorp building has actually become one of my overall favorites from this project. Here it is.
