WARREN CONNECTICUT – We had the blessing of heavy fog this morning. I strapped my 75mm Summicron lens onto my Leica Monochrom and went to work. This is the first pretty good day of images in a while. All of the images from today are stitched in Photoshop from multiple frames.
The large number of images (five) is presented with apologies – I didn’t know where to start editing.
Day 2264 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
NEW YORK NEW YORK – What a crappy day. I could have gone out and captured images in the pouring rain, but I didn’t. Here’s an image of the RFK (nee Triborough) Bridge captured with a very long Leica R lens adapted to my Sony 7Rmii.
By the way, I’ve been putting up two posts a day for a while, catching up from the period when I was in Japan, China and San Francisco. Today I’m officially caught up (only a week behind which his my usual process) so I can go back to posting once a day.
Day 2185 of one photograph a day for the rest of my life.
On this day last year (day 1820): LUNCH. One of my favorite images of last year.
WARREN CONNECTICUT – Another seriously foggy day up on the hill here where we have a weekend get away. I actually like fog – it washes out the details leaving the graphic content behind.
Day 1,878 of one picture every day for the rest of my life.
NEW YORK NEW YORK – I took a walk today in Midtown in the rain and captured 432 Park Avenue, the Nordstrom Tower, which for now will be the tallest residential structure in the world. There are various points of view on this, with some feeling that it’s a blight on the skyline, and others suggesting that it reflects the continued dynamism of Manhattan. Your choice on this issue.
Day 1,875 of one picture every day for the rest of my life.
On this day two years ago (day 1,145): Spin meets Basil, who uncharacteristically is in repose. This violates my long-standing rule against cute kids and dogs or other pets on this forum, so I’m taking the position that his is actually a picture of the vase in the background, which is from Spin in Shanghai, even though it is out of focus.
WARREN CONNECTICUT – We had a lovely, foggy morning that lent itself to black and white photography. I had a lot of trouble editing so I’m going to bother you with four images today.
Day 1,746 of one picture every day for the rest of my life.
