PORCHEROL, FRANCE – Maria needs beach time every vacation. So she located this somewhat obscure island just offshore from the Riviera, but dramatically different in tone. There are no cars – we walked everywhere. There’s a single ok hotel. Most people who come here rent houses.

AIX-EN-PROVENCE – A perfect stay in Aix, which turns out to be a little less interesting than Arles, but the hotel we stayed in here was a marvel. Images as usual with my Leica Monochrom.

AIX-EN-PROVENCE – We arrived here this morning, checked into a lovely hotel and spent the day exploring museums and the like. Maria bought a vintage 1950s dress.

ARLES FRANCE – We spent the day walking around here. We had an introduction to a young artist who is in the process of exporting the future of the book. One of the bodies of work that he is dealing with is Thomas Pynchon. This by itself is enough to make me a skeptic.
