BROOKLYN NEW YORK – We went out to Red Hook, Brooklyn today for the opening of a group show that I’m in at the gallery of the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists; the show is called Black and White. 499 Van Brunt Street, Red Hook, Brooklyn, weekends 1:00-6:00. http://bwac.org/2015/04/black-white-2015/ Right next door to Fairway in Red Hook.
I’m showing mainly family here today.
Day 2116 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this day last year (day 1751): Alley. This is an early image in what has become an ongoing project.
NEW YORK NEW YORK – Our daughter, Francesca, is living with us while her apartment in Brooklyn is being redone. Here she is on a miserable winter day trying to find a ray of sun.
Day 1,954 of one photo every day for the rest of my life.
On this day three years ago (day 858): Gasparilla range light.
NEW YORK NEW YORK – Another Friday evening here – this time for Francesca’s birthday. I shoot with my Leica Monochrom and f.95 Noctilux lens in situations like this. The light was very poor so an evening of shooting yields few keepers.
Day 1,849 of one picture every day for the rest of my life.
On this day two years ago (day 1,119): Blizzard out my window.
NEW YORK NEW YORK – I met Francesca, our daughter, at the Brasserie for breakfast and then spent the morning in the office. Here’s Francesca outside of the Brasserie and the Lava Lamp in my office, both taken with my Leica Monochrom and 75mm Summicron lens.
I could not decide which I preferred to I tweeted both this morning and I’ll let the responses to the tweets help me edit.
Day 1,547 of this ongoing project to take one picture every day for the rest of my life.
On this day one year ago: Zilch. Ugh. Some days it just doesn’t happen.
WARREN CONNECTICUT – We had a full house in Connecticut this weekend. Maria is in Paris but Alexander and Laura, Francesca, and Will Hoar (Maria’s godson) and his fiancée, Olivia Wolf. What a riot. Shot with my baby Sony RX100 II all weekend. The Sony has a zoom lens but I only shoot it at the wide end which is 28mm equivalent. Thus the wide angle distortion.
On this day last year: Fishers Island.
NEW YORK NEW YORK – Francesca dropped over for dinner and communed with her “brother”, Basil the Norwich Terrier. Leica Monochrom plus Dual Range Summicron.
On this day on year ago: Pond.
