WASHINGTON CONNECTICUT – New Preston Cemetery. This is on the road from our house to the hardware store so I stop here for photo ops frequently. Taken with my Leica Monochrom and 135mm APO Telyt lens. I don’t often shot long buy in this case I liked the perspective compression and selective focus.
Ice – more on this in a few days.
On this day one year ago: Stubble Field
WARREN CONNECTICUT – Our house in Warren in good backlighting. Taken with my Leica Monochrom. The fishing aspect of photography. I’ve been on this spot thousands of times but I’ve never seen this before. Two frames stitched.
On this day last year: Chair transformed by good light and my Noctilux lens.
WARREN CONNECTICUT – Another day of snowshoeing. Lovely light but the snow is less pristine and I find myself repeating yesterday. It would be nice to take a break but that’s not really an option in the photo-a-day world. Here’s something from my Leica S and 120 mm Summarit lens.
Leica Monochrom and 24mm Summilux lens:
On this day last year: St. Valentine’s Dau run up.
LITCHFIELD CONNECTICUT – We drove to Litchfield to catch up on post holiday sales and for lunch at a local diner. Images taken with my Leica Monochrom camera and vintage 50mm Dual Range Summicron lens.
Three images stitched: the Congregational Church in Litchfield, a subject that I’ve spent some time with in the past.
On this day one year ago: Travel day pimped up with an iPhone app.
WARREN CONNECTICUT – Another weekend in Connecticut. Taken with my Leica MM and an antique 50mm Dual Range Summicron lens.
On this day last year: out my window.
KENT AND WARREN CONNECTICUT – We’re showing our age: Maria and I went to a birding class in Kent this morning. We took a walk with the group behind the Kent town hall. Interestingly there were fewer birds that normal (our guide reported) because they had gone to ground feeling the low pressure as Sandy approached. Later in the day I experimented at bit with high ISO landscapes – shooting at ISO 5000 and f16 to maximize depth of field. Both images taken with my Leica Monochrom and 28mm Summicron lens.
On this day last year: S. Feldman Hardware.
