NEW YORK NEW YORK – Today is a little bit of an embarrassment. I actually took a picture of the clock in Grand Central Terminal, one of the most photographed objects in the world. Not even at a very interesting angle – I’m going to try again with a longer lens.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Continuing with Sony A7Rii week. I went out today with the Sony 70-200mm f2.8 zoom on the camera. What a load. For street use you look like you’re equipped to cover the Superbowl. a very big lens but marvelous. It’s actually an improvement over the Canon lens of similar description, which I’ve owned, and referred to as the “miraculous drain pipe”. A very high quality lens but hardly practical as a walk around.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – This is a continuation of Sony A7rii week for me, shooting in midtown with the Sony 50mm ZA lens, which is a sensational performer in all respects except for its huge bulk.

On this day last year (day 2,518): Look up in Manhattan
