TAOS SKI VALLEY, NEW MEXICO – New Year’s Eve started with fireworks.

Day 2634 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.

On this day six years ago (day 443): Maria at a costume party. I went as Vivaldi; Maria as one of my students.

SOUTH KENT, CONNECTICUT – We got together with some friends this evening at a Jason Wright’s house for a New Years Eve celebration. Most of the lighting was provided by halogen down lights, which make the art look good but aren’t great for photographing people (look at the pattern on the wall in the background below). I struggled a bit but finally ended with a nice images of John Novogrod, taken with my Leica Monochrom and Noctilux lens.

TAOS SKI VALLEY NEW MEXICO – We’re staying at the Bavarian where we celebrated New Years Eve with some friends who have built a house here. A family party image with my Panasonic.

On this day last year: Maria in a nun costume. The scary thing about this was that Maria went to convent school and actually knows how to act like a nun.

WARREN and DABURY CONNECTICUT – I’ve got a couple of images for New Years Eve. We had an excellent sunset, followed by a costume party given by our friends Bill and Bunny Beekman. The sunset is three frames stitched taken with my Hasselblad H4D-60 and a 100mm lens.
