WARREN CONNECTICUT – Some color today because it’s . . Autumn. Taken with my Leica M and Luxochron lens.
On this day last year: traffic control box.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – We’re here for a long weekend. Unconscionably long as you will soon see. Remember that I’m a blue sky and puffy clouds guy. An optimist. A sunny disposition. I have to be fully caffeinated to be irritable enough to do my job a lawyer.
The weather is grim in Warren Connecticut today. The gray sky presses down. I took a walk down to the spot where we push plant life trimmings that are too small for firewood and too large for mulch. Taken with my Leica Monochrom and a Leica 50mm APO Summicron Asph. lens. No great shakes as a photo. No mojo today.
On this day last yeaR: Our Chris Craft is in a commercial shoot! Follow this link if you don’t follow any other!
WARREN CONNECTICUT – Ferns captured with my Leica S2, which gives me a terrific opportunity to contrast the in and out of focus portions of the image.
On this day one year ago: Punters at the races. Still in Saratoga – we spent the morning at the track.
WARREN CONNECTICUT – We’ve done a good job this week of getting to Connecticut on Thursday night. I’ve decided this weekend to give the Leica Monochrom a rest and pack my medium format Leica S. Here are a couple of non-revolutionary images. I need to spend more time out seeing with this camera.
On this day last year: Boiler room.
BULLS BRIDGE CONNECTICUT – Here we are on the Appalachian Trail somewhere near Bulls Bridge. I’m continuing my struggle with depicting landscape in the Eastern deciduous forrest. Here’s a color, consciously Cézanne-like, treatment with my Leica M and 28mm PC lens.
On this day one year ago: Flatiron.
NEW YORK NEW YORK – May Day. Not a big deal here in the US. I went on a hike with my friend John Novogrod. I’ve discussed on these pages in the past the difficulty that I have with Eastern landscape. Deciduous forest rather than the desert, cactus and sagebrush that I grew up with. I find it difficult to organize and really see. Here’s a better than average try – three frames stitched.
On this day last year: Egg crate building. Blah. Whatever. Meh. Yes, Woody, you can do better than this.
WASHINGTON CONNECTICUT – I’m continuing to push the limits of my Leica Monochrom. Today I put an infrared filter on the camera and spent the day shooting infrared. I usually don’t like the strong infra red look (with white foliage) so when I shoot IR I usually shoot it in the winter. Here we are in the garden shooting infra red.
On this day last year: Astilbe.
