NEW YORK NEW YORK – A busy day. The best of a poor collection was this from the center of Park Avenue.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – Very flat light today. Totally not ok for photography.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – Our first snow of the year, in time for a whitish Thanksgiving. There are still leaves on the trees as a result of the very late Autumn. Lovely day.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I’m working through a period of pushing the limits of my Sony a7rii camera. today’s images reflect that process – a demanding architectural subject and heavy backlight on the street.
Day 2580 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.

On this day four years ago (1119): Blizzard. Taken with my Leica Monochrom.
WARREN CONNECTICUT – Still shooting infra red. In today’s image I got a more dramatic sky than would have been possible in visible light. But . . . tomorrow I’m switching back to my Leica Monochrom, which fits my style better than the Sony.
Day 2312 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this day four years ago (day 851): Another abstract look up shot in infra red.
WARREN CONNECTICUT – More infrared. This time without the R72 filter, which means that the trees in the distance are rendered fairly naturally. I shot the same scene with the R72 (which blocks all visible light) but didn’t care for the all white rendering of the trees.
Day 2306 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this day two years ago (day 1576): Post office
WARREN CONNECTICUT – Today I shot winter landscape with my IR-modified Sony camera, using legacy Leica lenses and an R72 filter that blocks all visible light. I don’t like this combination with foliage – green foliage is rendered bright white, which is actually weird. But in the winter or on the desert, where there is little green foliage (especially in our Eastern deciduous forrest) it is really interesting. Here you go.
