YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK CALIFORNIA – A long day of shooting here, starting with a sunrise in the valley, then a visit to the Sequoias, and finally a sunset. I shot with a lot of equipment so I won’t bother with a summary. I’m putting up a mini gallery here because I really haven’t been able to decide on one single image.
Day 1,559 of an unbroken string of one photo every day for the rest of my life.
YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK CALIFORNIA – We came here hoping to photograph Yosemite in the snow. Guess what. California is in the grip of one of the worst droughts in history. There’s no snow. Not a flake. Mid-day temperatures are in the high 50s. It is nonetheless a pleasure to have the park relatively to ourselves – Yosemite is overrun by tourists in the summer – there is actually smog in the valley. This was a very productive day with images along the Merced River. Taken with a variety of equipment including my Leica S2 medium format camera, my Leica Monocrom and a Sona A7 outfitted to wear Leica M lenses.
