NEWARK NEW JERSEY – A dreaded travel day. Here we are at Newark Airport at 5:00 AM in transit to Cartagena.

On this day two years ago (day 1925): Hay festival Jaipur. Ironically we were at the Hay festival in Jaipur two years ago and were traveling today to the Hay Festival in Cartagena. There are only three Hay Festivals; we’ve never been to the original which takes place in Hay-on-Wye in Wales in late May – the date never works for us.
