NEW YORK NEW YORK – When our building was built in the early 1920s our apartment had a panoramic unobstructed view of the east river, probably somewhat tarnished by the brewery that was located between Park Avenue and the river. The brewery is long gone and the space between Lexington Avenue and the East River has been filled with high rise rental buildings. Today’s image is a long shot (taken with a 280mm lens) of the one remaining sliver of river view. I actually don’t mind – the cityscape out our window is actually lovely.
Day 2542 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this day five years ago (day 716): Columbus Circle.
