MANHATTAN – I had an active day of walking around Foley Square and the financial district in good urban light with my Sony A7riii and the Sony 16-35mm f/2.8 GM lens. It’s not my style to shoot zooms because they never perform at the same level as the best primes, and they are large and heavy. But this one is good. Corner to corner stitches with the lovely Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 are better, but you can’t reliably stitch in many situations. This lens is a keeper.
I’m running through my inventory of Sony E-mount lenses to decide which are keepers – this one clearly is.
Day 3217 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.

Woody,
You’re brilliant.
You almost make me consider switching to Sony, but I know the important equipment is behind the camera.
I will just have to keep looking at your work and try to gain insight and inspiration.
Thanks. Stick with what you’re using if you’re happy with it.
