NEW YORK, NEW YORK – Back home I took a walk in Times Square at sunset. Times Square has lost its scruffy, sleazy vibe. It’s now more like a cross between a Disney attraction and a corporate logo theme park.

Your comment made me chuckle. My office used to be on the edge of the Garment District, on West 42nd (across the street from the Conde Nast building). The area was in transition by then (late 90s, early 2000s), but from there to Times Square still had that “sleazy, scruffy vibe”. Certainly a different feeling now.
